Who we are
It all begins with an idea. And for us, that idea was “how can we support fellow authors in bringing their stories to life?”
We’re Natasha and Alex, two writers and dear friends whose love of editing might supersede even our love of writing. Our educational backgrounds are in English Literature and Film and our passion for the written word pretty much outweighs everything else. That love inspired us to create Fox & Rabbit Press, a small indie editing company that helps independent authors get their stories ready for publishing, whether that’s on a self publishing level or through a traditional publishing house. One day we would like to step into the realm of publishing ourselves and make Fox & Rabbit Press into a small publishing house for passion projects.
What we bring to the table
Our experience mostly lies in personal projects, as well as projects with friends, local connections and our time in academia. For two years, Alex worked in news media as an editorial manager and head writer. She studied English Literature in college and has organized writing groups, both fiction and expository, and loved every second of it. Natasha’s experience comes from her time in film school, editing and creating scripts and screenplays, as well as her weird innate ability to learn just about anything she studies for about five minutes. Additionally, we have worked in business environments that require huge attention to detail, team organization, and providing the nuts and bolts of a smooth operating business. Both of us have professional experience in graphic design, including book cover and page design.
We promise we'll communicate promptly and regularly, and won't be weird and sketchy about it.
What we’re about
It’s the goal of Fox & Rabbit Press to bring accessible and affordable services to the indie community. How often have you looked at editing services only to find a lack of general pricing or total sticker shock? Not only that, but having to find someone to do your editing and then someone else to do formatting and then someone else to do your cover design. Not to mention developmental editing. What about someone looking over your alpha reader suggestions and helping you rattle test some ideas and put everything together in the book you’ve been dreaming of creating? Our goal is have all of these offerings in one place, priced fairly, and catered to exactly what you, the author, need to bring your story to life!
